Romantic Spots 101: Where To Eat In Cebu On V-Day

It is just around the corner. And no matter what non-romantics do to try and avoid it, it is bound to come. There is no stopping it. I'm talking about V-Day, Hearts Day, Valentines Day. Feb 14!
I'm not the most romantic person on the face of the Earth, but hey, I have to admit that 02/14 has its charm that even the most ordinary girl cannot resist. So, to help out the less romantic of the pair in relationships out there, here are a couple of suggestions on where to go for a lovely dinner for two on that special day.

1. Acha Pizzeria - Small and cozy. It also has low lighting, which is helps bring perfection to romantic dates. Since they specialize in pizza and pasta, you need to make sure that your partner is up for that. This is one of the best options to go to especially if you have a limited budget for that day.

2. Simply J's - Elegant yet comfy. At a glance, this place might seem expensive. Do not let its look intimidate you though. They can easily fit into your budget while still offering sumptuous delights to keep your tummy full for the rest of the night. It is best to call ahead and get a reservation since they are usually full, which is not really surprising.

3. Golden Peak Hotel Sugba2 2012  - Magnificent view of the city. Fresh air. Another affordable option on the list is the ongoing Sugba2 sa Rooftop hosted by Golden Peak Hotel. Since it is currently one of the tallest structures in the city, diners get to enjoy the lovely lights that represent the busy corners of the metro. The hotel's chef make one of the best siomai and sauces for me.

4. Dong Juan - A personal favorite. Cozy and yummy for the eyes, tummy and all other body parts. You can go for the out-of-the-way branch in Emilio OsmeƱa St. (turn right at the second corner after the bridge that comes after the Provincial Capitol Bldg on the way to Banawa area), the easy-to-access one in the Persimmon (in Mabolo) or the right-at-the-midst-of-everything spot at the 2nd floor of Two Mango (in Gen. Maxilom Ave.). They offer the same dishes at the same prices (which can fit one's budget without any effort) and have great customer service as well.

All of the suggestions come from my own blog. After all, there is no way I can recommend something I have not tried for myself. These options right here fall under the category of places I love going back and back and back. I also enjoy bringing people here because I am confident in everything they have to offer and that my guests are going to be enjoying these as much as I do.

One thing about these places to eat in Cebu is how well they can fit anyone's budget. There is no need to worry about financing, so couples can get it on with the romance that V-day brings. Happy Hearts Day in advance, y'all!
